Greetings.  I am Auriana Ravenstein heiress of Germany and Queen of Pirates. This is my story:

I was born in Ravenstein Germany on November 10, 1380 and was raised on the Isle of Kilkenny by the Pirate Kilkenny since I was an infant.  My father was the son of King Sismund,  My mother was a Baroness of Ravenstein, Germany.  I was told that both had a passion for sailing and beads.  My mother sailed with her father who was a bead merchant, and her favorite place was the Celtic lands of Ireland and Scotland.

My mother (Auriana) meet Kilkenny in Calais France where she was school and he was there for supplies.  They both fell in love and kept the affair a
secret.  Upon her return to Ravenstein she learned that she was to be
married to the Prince (my father).  This marriage was to keep her father
from losing his land, title and his bead merchant business due to a tax
debt.  Through one of her maids she was able to keep in contact with
Kilkenny.  She told him all of their plans and begged him to rescue her.  My
father was very much in love my mother and thought that she was the most
beautiful woman he ever seen.  My mother loved my father and was grateful to him and the king for having mercy on her father, but her heart was with
Kilkenny.  Her love I was told, was never a true love but one of friendship.
However, she never told him that she had a baby.  As soon as she was well
enough to travel with me, they set sail for Ireland on a merchant trip.
Kilkenny and his crew caught up with them and he told his crew that no one
was to be harmed, especially my mother and father.  Things went wrong and my parents along with their crew perished on the ship.  While searching the
ship and looking at the damage, Kilkenny found me and raised me as his own
daughter.  He named me Auriana after my mother and Ravenstein after the
place where I was born.

He schooled me in all the proper subjects, including navigation,
swordsmanship, and all the things women need to know.  Eventually I was able to join Kilkenny on his long and extensive voyages and join in the business with him.  As a young girl he took me to Germany where on several occasions we traded beads to the king.  King Sigismund invited us to visit on our next trip back to Germany. Unto my knowledge he gave Grandfather a letter and told him what happened to his son and grand-daughter, and that I was the grand-daughter that he was trying to find.  Before dinner was over we quietly slipped away.  When he died I took over his business and title Pirate Kilkenny.  I made my crewmen who wished to stay take an oath that
they would never tell of my true identity.

Now, I still carry on my fathers business as a pirate and bead merchant.
In my spare time I also serve as Chief Navigator for my Aunt Caitilin
MacGrgor on her ship Sinister Arqua.  I have close ties with two Mongolian
chieftains Motan and Batu Gal.  I still reside on my Isle as Queen of
Pirates, where all are welcomed and very little crime exits.  After 12
generations of pirates, the order of respect remains and is the highest
valor of honor.  My home is in Vogelburg, (Island Kilkenny) a village in the
Principality of Glean Abhann in the Kingdom of Meridies.

As I look out my castle window and look down upon the town and out to the
sea, I see my flagship Pirates Law and the Sinister Arqua, and I wonder what fate and chance will bring my way.

May we meet in peace and friendship.
